G’day Guys,

I’m after opinions on the following bikes. Reliability is probably the most important criterion, as I don’t want to be constantly fixing broken things!

Atomik Nitrous 150 rrp $1099 Nitrous150M - Dirt Bike - Default Store View
PitPro 150XR rrp $1499 PitPro 150XR | PitPro Dirt Bikes Australia's Largest Online Pitbike Store
DHZ DPro160 rrp $1424 DHZ Mini Moto

Budget is around $1500, so that rules out a Pitster.

Any others I should be looking at?

PS - this is not for racing, just riding around on the farm.

Thanks for any helpful info you can give.

Yep Thump is right .... DHZ have good aftersales service .... Atomik and pit pro simply don't .So if something does go wrong you won't be on your own with DHZ.
Also Ken has all the spares in stock all the time and is constantly improving his bikes so you can upgrade later as your skill level improves.

And yeah Ken sponsors the site so tell him we sent you and you will get a members discount .;)

Lastly welcome to the site and well done for asking BEFORE purchasing your bike ... most just buy Atomiks and we don't see em here till they need to fix it ... by then it's too late .... so yeah well done young man

yep DHZ DPRO160 gets a thumbs up from me too.

failing tht the only other bike i would get would be the atomik nitrous 160 they go for about 800 on ebay..
by the way PitPro and Atomik are pretty much the same quality wise
but youv got the coin so shout yrself a treat and grab the DPRO160, they are heaps better quality

all these bikes need the basic upgrades first up like quality chain, quality engine oil
if your after good power straight up then grab yourself an OKO26mm carb kit too.
and be sure to adjust the valve clearances before you start it and again at approx 6hrs ride time..

and if your looking at doing decent jumps or want a good smooth ride then youll need to upgrade the forks and rear shock.
GPX forks and DNM or fastace rear shock work a treat.

Awesome advice guys, you've just made my decision easier. I like it when opinions are unanimous!

Im new to miniriders and ive got a 150 bigfoot atomik. Now having it for more than two months it has been good. The only thing about the bike is the rear shock. Ive adjusted it alot and is very bouncy but still bottoms out when I get aleast half a metre of air. can anyone help and if they have the same problem and what to do about it

thanks

As an update on this thread, we went for the DHZ140. The 160 was too tall for the boy, so went the next step down. I pulled it apart as soon as we got it, changed the fluids, greased the bearings and lock-tighted everytrhing. It's maiden voyage was last weekend and the boy absolutely loves it! It goes well for a little thing, it's like a mini version of my WR450.

The Zongshen engine sure makes some odd rattles though. And does anyone know how to stop the exhaust spring from vibrating against the exhaust under revs?
