Hello,

Where is the best place to buy new mini tires?

Thanks,

Bongo

hey bongo, welcome to Miniriders,

i found here in Australia most motorbike shops have competitive prices, i picked up an IRC IX Kids tyre for my sons PW50, 80/100/10, for $35 brand new.
Dunlop make some nice tyres too

Kenda Carlsbads are around $42-$45ea for the pit bikes running 14" front and 12" rear
ebay sometimes has good deals,

it all depends on where you ride and what sort of ground it has, soft, medium, hard etc
you can get different compounds to suit them all

drop in and say g'day in our Introduce Yourself thread too while you're here

cheers, craig

Kendas carlsbad's seem to be the most common around the tracks, or if you can get your hands on them, i hear woshugal's are the best, but hard to get.

Hey I own a 2009 125 thumpstar just wondering what oil I should be using and how much to put in

Yep from what i have heard washgals are the best although carlsbads are some seriously stiff tyres.
They have basically no traction in muddy or soft dirt. I found out the hard way at Vcm.
I would say if you have the cash. Dunlop Mx 51s or pirelli scorpions

I just read the original post.... My last comment was in regard to the thread name, sorry. Where abouts you located? I just get my tyres from the local bike stores, price difference has been negligatble and they usually fit them for me too :)

Iv'e got the scorpians (medium) on front and rear, just about to change to a Millsville though, will be interesting to see the difference.

Wrong thread buddy, (i'll move it later) but "I" would reccomend a 10-40 mineral oil, and around 800ml. That should get you sorted.

the Millsvilles are pretty flexible Timeeh,
i have just put one on the front of the Fuse
where we are riding on the weekend is sandy, and then there's a lot of compacted stuff so should be interesting

Hmm be good to see the difference, i liked the pirelli but after just 1 race day it never seemed to be as good again, not that it was "bad" afterwards, but the bite it had the first day i raced with it was awesome, still got a fair bit of tread left too from last year but i'kll chuck on a newie b4 the race next week :)

I wouldnt go for a millville timeeh. Jack hates the damn things and so do I. Although when he rides that 190 he is a bit crazy.

Ohh that bad? it's only $60 if i dont like it i'll try and find a carlsbad. I did find a Woshugal set on Ebay this morning :) But at $160 for the set, i don't think i'll bother ;) P.S you've seen me ride and i ride like a spaz, so tyre choice probably won't effect me too much as i dont think it makes much of a difference if you only do 20km/h LOL

Haha you where still quicker then me so i believe that you win haha
Yea the woshugals are really expensive. I have a new carlsbad sitting here if you cant get one. Although the side knobs on the tyres are really what go first. The center wears quite well.
See how you like them but yea jack and i both got rid of them off the back of the pitsters.
