Want some advice I've left my stand on my bike so if igo riding I can always just kick the
stand down and have the bike sitting there.
Would you guys take it off or leave it on?

On my 140 I took it off, and on my 110 I kept it on.. LOL..

Worst that came happen is if you take it off, you need to lean it on a tree.

but if you leave it on it could get knocked and come down when riding and might cause some problems if it hits the dirt..

Funny you say that. Had a mates stand come down at 80km/h when we were younger. Ended up flying him over the bars 3/4 the height of a power pole through the air. Knocked himself silly.

Depends on the riding. If your doing mainly tracks then yes take it off. If your doing a lot of trail riding, keep it on. Handy when there are no trees around.

I'm taking it off lol am not willing to risk chewing some
dirt I don't like the taste Dont know about the rest of youse
:) lol
thanks guys

Don't let that tale put you off. I would never take mine off. Probably cause I'm lazy.

i took mine off, theres always something to lean it against.

Not always mate. Nothing worse than having to switch the fuel off and lay it on it's side. Scratch my pretty graphics (*insert Hillz random bagging here*). :LolLolLolLol:

lol well if your like me and ride where your not suppose to ..then stopping is not an option let alone getting off...hahaha

On the DR I have the stand is broken and I still ride with it hitting the ground scrapping when I go around corners and shit. Hasn't caused a problem yet.

why not use a small spring with a small hook on the end to hold the end of the stand against the frame? that way it cant pop down and its always there if you need it

or maybe even a rubber band or something? that way it can hold the stand in, it will only take 5 seconds to install and replace and if it gets caught on something it can just break easily and wont throw you off your bike

yerp when i had my first pitty every time i did jump it would half come down

they are a bit of a risk but as stated depends on the riding your doing
