hey,

firstly a bit about the bike, it's a lifan 140 with a 26mikuni, inner rotor and a uni filter. The inlet manifold has been matched and polished.

Now the problem, whenever i change up a gear and crack on the throttle the bike dies in the arse for a second then picks up again. I also get top range flutters as well. I have tried advancing and retarding the inner rotor, no luck there, so i am assuming it's jets? I've tried changing the plug and the plug lead but again no luck. The bike did not do this when i fist had it and it's just developed the problem now.

your help would be really appreciated as i have hit a wall here.

I would probably start by adjusting your valves if its something that has only become a issue with time.
If that doesn't fix it pull down the carbie and clean it out.

Have you also added anything recently? like has it only started to happen when you put the unifilter on?

yeh jets can make a big differnce =) what size jets does it have in it now?? i know it did foe my bike... i changed the jets and put a new plug in it (not a cheep import one XD) and it went heaps better...

but give your jets a look first i think there only a couple of bucks to buy neways =)

queries

thanks for the insight fellas. To answer your question master spoon, no i put the unifilter on and no change for ages the problem is just starting now. Valves may be the issue as well. When you say inspect the valves master spoon are you referring to the clearances? and if so what am i looking for? i will check the jets and have a bit of a play around tonight. Will keep in touch
