Hi guys,
I have a 125cc 4 stroke lei bike. Its about 1 year old. Bike was running really good, but then i stop riding it for 6 months.
Tried to start the bike today but it wont start, i put in fresh fuel, changed the oil, and put in a brand new spark. The bike has good compression, and i tried kick starting it with choke on and off.
Strange thing was when i tried to push start it, when ever i clicked it into gear the back tyre stopped turning completely, it just locks up, even if i pull the clutch in and its in first the back tyre locks up.
What does this mean?

Thanks

if it was mine, good oil change & strip and clean carbie *old fuel might still be in the bowl* check wireing to see if it's all still intact.

but why is it when i go to push start the bike, when i click it into gear the back wheel just locks up and skids, even if the bike does not start shouldnt the back wheel still move a bit.

You are skidding because your not going fast enough and your probably putting the bike into 1st gear and there is not enough weight to get the tyre to spin. When push starting, you should click up into 2nd gear, not 1st.

Its also called bump starting. Get up to speed and 'jump' to get the suspension to compress as you drop the clutch. That way the back wheel is more likely to grip and nt just lock up.

it locks up because its supposed to. its just your motor probably on the compression stroke so itll take alot more force to spin the wheel.
