anyway as the topic states .. we got a new bike of ebay .. yes a cheap chinesey one just to mess around with.. it has a ducar 125cc in it. well we got it out of the box and imediatley noticed the alloy anodised fuel cap was plastic...well we put it together and everything was good until one missing headstem bolt&nut and then we started it Oil proceeded to piss from the top of the head cylnder where the top plate is , well i took the top plate off and cleaned it up to find cracks on two corners of the thing.. pissED OFF , well i rang them and they sending me alloy fuel cap , the head top cover and a vale cover...as well as new gaskets, but now i have hit a new bigger problem as i have put my 110cc head plate on there with a brand new gasket as i got impatient wanting to ride and the thing is still leaking oil, so there must be a hairlien crack in the head?? well im going to ring them tomorow and tel them of this pissing me off problem and hopefuly they send me a new motor , if not i will slander them on every forum under the sun like a prick:D
 
you could try to fill the crack with 3 bond or similar, whered you get it from?
 
im gona wait until tomorow when i ring them to see if they want to replace the motor , if they do the right thing then i wont slander there business online , if they want to argue the point with me then i shall tell the world :D:D:D
 
You might think it's a crack but a similar thing happened to me and it turns out i hadn't unkinked the crank case breather hose.

The breather hose comes kinked and zip tied up so find it and cut the zip tie and i can almost guarantee this will fix the prob.
 
the top plate has cracks lol highly visible, im going to take a photo of the top plate with my digital camera close up and put pics up for people to admire

yeah too true, ive put a top plate on from my other motor wich fits perfectly.. and also cut a new gasket from proper quality gasket card, it seems to still leak from around the same place... ot sure im going to ring hrem tomorow and explain the situation and ask for a new motor be sent out.. hopefuly they dont make me send back the one i got here then i can keep it for parts .. cos the labour of me pulling it out and having to pay to send it back will piss me off
 
Is there a copper washer on the bottom left head studd ? (if you were looking at the head plate from the front)

Thats to oil feed to the head if its missing the copper washer it'll leak oil. Or your motor was dropped at the factory and if still made its way to you. But thats the china market for you, zero quality control.

this is normal for cheap china bikes they all do this.. looks like it was over tightened tho... are you using a gasket ot just straight to the head?
 
i do have a washer on all 4 nuts and yes the botom left one is copper:) imusing a gasket i cut with a scalpel fits perfectly and the plate on there is fine. i think there is a hairline crack in the head around where the copper washer is. im going to ring them now anyway

its ab it of a titrat , but they are sending me a new head wif new gaskets and so on , how hard is it to get the head off and put the new one on?
 
is it as easy as , undoing the bolts for the old one pulling it off and putting the new one on there and doing the bolts back up? i dont have to take the bottom end apart or anything ?
 
pretty much, dont have to touch the bottom end, just gota undo the cam sprocket bolts and make sure you get your timing marks right when you put her together and make sure its on TDC before you start
