G'Day

Names Dan "28yo" and im on the sunshine coast.

My new ride is a BSE 160cc bigwheel "17 front 14 rear". Got it off small wheel deals out in Lawnton and would recomend them for there advice/ gear and bikes...

So far the bike is unreal, taken it for two days worth of solid riding and only lost one bolt "have been told this is a good thing lol".

Plans are..
Custom dress the motor
Get the front and rear shocks a bit harder
Bit of bling
Performance OKO carb and big bore straight through zorst.
New tires and tubes

Here are some shots/video of her from over the weekend.

Giving it a bit of stick out on the fams property, so easy to get up on the back wheel.

And also, if your ever out the middle of no where without tire repare gear here is a trick for ya.

Peel the tire off, stuff the rim hard with dry grass and pop the tire back on.

Itl get ya home atleast.

Pic of the rim from my mates Atomik, this happend about 8 k's into a 26km ride into Chavellum out near kenilworth. Amazing track out there but has massive hills with 50/60degree inclines and declines with stacks of loose rocks, slippery top soil and awsome jumps ect....

Non of our repair gear would work as we found out the tube was shredded, so after a bit of thinking i came up with this quick fix to get her back to the truck.

The BSE made it there and back 4 times without a hitch... stoked with it..

Ha ha I love the grass idea... bloody random!

17"/14" set up or aka cheaper wheels seem to get a lot of people saying the handling is a lot better. Looks like you had a good weekend!!

yeah rach,,, im a 4wder so random thinking is a way of life for me lol.

After owning a kx250cc 2 stroke mx bike i couldnt drop any lower in size than what ive got now, the handling is awsome with the bigger wheels, couldnt recomend it any higher.

The hills we rode today showed that a bigger set of wheel is a must for hardcore offroad terrain, my mates smaller bike was bouncing all over the place and he had a hell of a time keeping it on track.

The small bikes are still good but not for me.

hey mate,
welcome to miniriders
im so glad your happy with your bike mate, looks like a weapon
enjoy.
;)

Ive got a few questions

Has anyone in QLD got a thumper rec regoed? "did a search but only found a thread relating to VIC"

Can i race my bike in Motard races at a raceway? and what is required if possible "appart from changing tyres"?

Is there a way to make my rear brake less harsh? as soon as i tap the rear brake the wheel locks up sometimes trying to slide it from under me.

Any help would be tops..

Cheers
