I read that if you remove the coke slide inside the throat of the carb that you could increase the power of your bike because you are allowing a little bit of air to come through. Is this true?

slight bit more air, probably helps the air speed and keep a clean flow of air though so i dont think its worth the time taking it out... i have only really heard of crf50 people doing it also

If its a butterfly type then yes theoretically you are removing a restriction to airflow, however in reality i doubt you'd notice it once done. If its an enrichment type with a plunger(which is what i assume your referring to by slide type) then no as this type of choke doesn't reduce the incoming air when used instead it adds more fuel

the choke butterfly's are normally in the bigger (outer) section of the carby too, before it steps down to the slide area.

No bud it wont fit, maybe a hiclone lol.

Bud honestly all the money your throwing at new carbs and bits and pieces you should just start saving to get a yx 140-150.

Lol I fixed my carb problem a while ago. I was just wondering because I read a thread where someone said it gave them extra hp when they did this. My bike is running perfectly right now.
