G'day all,

thought I'd put this up as I've spent unfortunatly probly more on car audio then I have in pitbikes over the years, at one shop I'd have ranked up over 15k of audio in a couple years being with one shop and brain washed!! Thank god I don't deal with that store anymore..

But what can I say I enjoy the reaction of most people when you show of your install to a passer by or someone who can here it 4 blocks away its an achievement in itself. I've also competed in DB drags before in the misses car while mine was out I action. 2 soundstream R1 12's off a soundstream xxx 4000D amp in a pre fab box didn't do an amazing number 141.8 DB lol enough for the misses to say no more hahaha

I did a 150 in my 2010 Navara space cab with the box neck height taking up the whole space cab right behind you with a port you can put your head in and 1 15" sub. That was fun!!

Now doing 2 high powered orion HCCA 12's in a mini wall in the lancer looking for the challenge to pull 150's from the boot.. Hard task!!

AND I'm in the process of 8 15's in a wall 3 battery's 2 5k amps strapped 4 10's each door 8 4's on dash and 2 pairs of PA titanium tweets in the vito. My mate did this in his old hiace and it was heart stopping ill put pics of his van up

So I want to better it with more powered subs etc always gotta go one better lol

Show me your DOOF DOOF fellas comon get em out :)

Ah stereos bring back some good memories....my first car. Blue vn exec. Had two 12 inch JLs run off an alpine v12 and a sound stream. Had Boston 6 inch and tweets inside. Also had a jvc head unit. Was really good back in 04. Bloke spent 8g on the install. My mates called it the stereo on wheels.

Here's my modest stereo setup I installed a few years back, I've lost all my old photo's as I found yesterday which I'm pretty bummed about :(

Sub - Eclipse za1200 D class. 1000wrms @ 4 ohms 14.4v
Speakers - Response 4x126 wrms @ 4 ohms 14.4v

It's got 2 gauge power and earth wire to both amps, top quality speaker wire through out not sure of the make only that it was fricken expensive! And Stinger rca's.

I think I'm getting a little old now as I don't crank it as much anymore:) but its got fantastic acoustic sound, sounds great with techa's too but the Kevlar cones don't seem to punch out mid range bass as much as you'd like them to. And the sub seems to take over a bit, but i suppose thats the point! Even though the splits are in the bottom on the door card, with the angle there on and the roof mounted 2ways it still gives a good stage hight too. All in all not a bad sound for a budget stereo. :)
