chain roller

Hey the mount for the bottom chain roller has broken off across the split pin hole so i cant remount the new one unless i go to the trouble of cutting the old one off lathing a new one and welding it on.

is it acceptable to just cut the entire thing off so the chain doesnt foul on it and run it like that? or asking for epic fails?

its a BSE 250cc

i would say you looking at an epic fail at some stage..chain comes and smashes cases and all sorts of drama's...doesnt happen all the time but better safe than sorry

i would do what ever it takes to replace it..

can you still get the roller on and have enough room to tap a thread?
or just tack weld a washer on the out side

mmmk. the whole things broken off pretty far down so the whole stub has to get replaced. probably just as well. the weld looks sh*t as haha.
