Hi all

Hoping you can help me, Chasing a piston ring and gasket kit for the mrs bike

I believe engine is ducar, has DJ154FMI on the side.

Engine blows blue smoke pretty bad when its warm!

contacted atomic.com.au, they cant get the parts - they say its too old

Hoping someone one here can assist

Tear the head off mate and give me thediameter of the piston or atleast the cc of the engine

tbh you will probably not need new gaskets the head gaskets hardly blow even on a high comp motor..
you may need new valve stem seals so dont rule them out yet too
edit if it is a 54mm piston this should fit http://classichonda50saustralia.com.au/store/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=82 (dont trust its 54mm from me i just googled the details you gave me and guessed)

you may want to chuck in a piston aswell if is knackerd and maybe hone the bore to help with sealing

if you need gaskets for the intake i would get some gasket paper, it will end up being cheaper to cut one out yourself then buy new gaskets for a couple of bikes + its really handy
also you will need a new crush gasket for the exhaust

Hi mate

Thanks for your reply.

The engine has 124cc stamped on it

yeah they E&F could be different, the s125 markings on the side of the piston look the same in his pics

i guess pull the head/barrel off and measure it up to be sure, then ask the seller before you buy.

just watch out before you buy a new cylinder, iirc the Ducar have a different head stud pattern or head stud size ?
make sure you measure the pattern and stud and ask the seller to confirm it

with the big bore kit, i'm sure it is to suit the 52mm bore 125's, not the 54mm bore.

Hwy would that 2nd link def fit. What do I need to measure

Not 100% sure :( Send the seller an email, I would assume they know, or maybe shoot Rotn50 an email, he should be able to tell you.

in that second link, have a look down the bottom of the page under the writing, he has every single measurement listed in mm's.
compare them to your cylinders' measurements, then go from there.

hi

few more questions

1) how much oil should this bike take
2) what kind of oil
3) if the valve stem seals need doing, what ones are available?

thanks heaps, and one last Q

i lost a vavle spring washer that sits on top n holds the collets

anyone know where i can get the right sized ones

about 20.6mm outer diameter

then it steps down to 15.5mm then finally steps down to 11.15mm

the holes inner diameter measured from the bottom shows 7.13mm

are they 5.5mm valve shafts ?
if they are i have a spare retainer i can send you what state area are you in ?
