yeh ok mate i have figured out i have used sythetic shell oil and mineral motul oil the synthetic shell oil must have ****ed the clutch up will useing the motul oil fix it ?
Nick if you've used synthetic oil, it will cause your clutch to slip... constant slipping *can* cause further damage to the clutch and plates, as the constant slipping can glaze the steel plates over... ever seen or smelt a clutch in car thats slipping? smells nasty, like someone set fire to a prostitute... let go for long enough, it'll fry your plates...
So.... drain the oil, and remove the outer RHS engine case, pull the clutch plates out of the basket, and clean them with a solvent.. i've always used petrol, which will clean any residual oil off the plates...
Whack the plates back in, put the engine case back on, and refill the engine with oil..
Hold the kill button on, and kick the engine over slowly to circulate a bit of oil back around the gearbox...
Then fire it up, allow the engine to warm, and while it's warming, work the clutch lever in and out to circulate more oil between the clutch plates.... once it's warmed up, the cable is adjusted properly etc etc, take it for a ride, hopefully that's sorted your slipping problem...
A cold engine and slipping clutch is a common thing with chinas... three of my 6 chinas slip in the clutch until the engine is warm...
Oh, and when your rolling around "in gear", and it rolls freely, then goes *click* and stops rolling, you werent in gear to begin with... the 155z isnt a "start in neutral" engine, and will thus not roll around freewheeling when in gear like the old Zongers etc.. You were getting a false neutral basically, and when it went *click*, that's when it went into gear...
If changing to a mineral based oil, cleaning the plates etc, and allowing the engine to warm properly doesnt fix your clutch issues, i'd be speaking to Ken pronto...
