what oil do you use
if you use semi snthetic oil it has or is going to kill your clutch with will cost like $260-$370 to fix
and mabye damage something else to like the case or something like that
this happened to me

I really hope you didn't pay that much to fix your recent engine problems? clutch should set you back around $100

yeh ok mate i have figured out i have used sythetic shell oil and mineral motul oil the synthetic shell oil must have ****ed the clutch up will useing the motul oil fix it ?

Nick if you've used synthetic oil, it will cause your clutch to slip... constant slipping *can* cause further damage to the clutch and plates, as the constant slipping can glaze the steel plates over... ever seen or smelt a clutch in car thats slipping? smells nasty, like someone set fire to a prostitute... let go for long enough, it'll fry your plates...

So.... drain the oil, and remove the outer RHS engine case, pull the clutch plates out of the basket, and clean them with a solvent.. i've always used petrol, which will clean any residual oil off the plates...

Whack the plates back in, put the engine case back on, and refill the engine with oil..
Hold the kill button on, and kick the engine over slowly to circulate a bit of oil back around the gearbox...
Then fire it up, allow the engine to warm, and while it's warming, work the clutch lever in and out to circulate more oil between the clutch plates.... once it's warmed up, the cable is adjusted properly etc etc, take it for a ride, hopefully that's sorted your slipping problem...
A cold engine and slipping clutch is a common thing with chinas... three of my 6 chinas slip in the clutch until the engine is warm...

Oh, and when your rolling around "in gear", and it rolls freely, then goes *click* and stops rolling, you werent in gear to begin with... the 155z isnt a "start in neutral" engine, and will thus not roll around freewheeling when in gear like the old Zongers etc.. You were getting a false neutral basically, and when it went *click*, that's when it went into gear...

If changing to a mineral based oil, cleaning the plates etc, and allowing the engine to warm properly doesnt fix your clutch issues, i'd be speaking to Ken pronto...

was the shell oil semi synthic

becareful with four stroke oils
these pit bike have different engine setups than the new 150rs/250r/450/520 honda/yamaha/ktm/husky. etc..

pitbikes need minerl based oil not synthetic or semi synthetic because the clucth plates get stuck together and thats not good
good oil for these bikes are
1.castrol ativ 4t
2.motul minerl base 4 stroke one not sure what they call it
3.are some other ones that are minerl base

the clutch gets all worn and loses teeth plates get stuck that can kill your engine and you don't want that to happen to a 155z
and you don't want that

maybe let it warm up for a while like 5 minutes

did you drain the old oil

why do you post that here??? He was asking this in the tech master section and you have clearly no freaking clue??
...but its always a funny read , though:p:p

DHZ DPRO 160cc (z160ho engine) Clutch Problem.

Hi, I have a 2011 DHZ DPRO 160cc (pitsterpro z160ho engine) And I'm having a similar problem...I'm using a mineral based SHELL engine oil. What happens is I start up the bike in Neutral, hold in the clutch and click up to 1st. As soon as i do this the bike stalls. So I'm guessing the clutch just isnt engaging which would mean even when holding in the clutch in first gear the bike stals because the clutch isnt really being engaged. The bike is only about 3 weeks old and has been ridden for about 2 hours tops until the clutch ****ed up. When the engine is not running and the bike is in first the bike doesnt roll. When I hold the clutch in, in 1st the bike rolls but I have to push it really, really hard! I have tried adjusting the cable at the lever and at the engine but i think it is an internal problem? Can someone please help me with this problem?

Yes, what it is isthese bikes have a 'wet'clutch which means the clutch has to be lubricated with oil from within the engine to work effectively. So if you let the engine run for 5 minutes or so before riding it will be fine (you can then stop the bike and push it easily with the clutch pulled in if you wanted to) Hope this helped. Good luck!
