clutch setup on the 140's

im having a problem getting the clutch to work on the 140. new kick start gear was put in but when its all put back together the clutch wont release. can someone please tell me the order that things go back together. thx heaps

When re-fitting your clutch basket ensure you fit the 2 retaining washers correctly.
Once the basket has been slid into place on the shaft fit the "Thick washer [With the internal castellated pattern] then the 3 Pronged washer locates over the thick washer and locks in place in the groove machined into the primary shaft.
Note If the washers are not fitted in the correct order or not located properly in the shaft groove the clutch will not be assebled correctly....And WONT WORK AT ALL !!!!

Brian thanks mate you are a legend! it works fine now... is there a way to stop the kick start gear from breaking? i get it over top dead center of the compression stroke but it still broke.. thnx heaps dood

sorry to drag up the past

with the 3 prong washer,do i face the prongs ouward or inward??
im confused as with it fitted the whole package dont work

any help will be great

face them in im pretty sure. it should slide in over the other
