We did this with my dads computer a few weeks ago, every thing fits into it the same as the old case aslong as its the same size, though its extremly easy when wiring it back up to make a mistake, you have to plug every thing into the right spot.

If you want you can get a PC shop to do it for you I'd say... buts its not that hard, just a few things can go wrong.

Yeah its pretty damn easy, its just all bolt on with screws, make sure u have the right screws in the right holes and all. Will be a bit fiddly but its pretty easy. Although that comp really does look like a POS, especially for $109. But if you like it go for it. Everything should fit as its standard size, aslong as your current computer isnt a DELL or something.

Edit: Oh and if you do decide to go ahead with the new case, make sure you touch the case or another metallic object every few minutes when your installing the parts, nothing worse than frying your motherboard while installing.

ok thanks for that,
mine has two usb ports on the front and the new case dosnt so what happens there??

oh my comp is asus i think lol

judging by the wiring in the case and looking at the front it looks like it has front usb if not just use the back

It really is very easy to swap from case to case. All you need to do is remember where all the wires hook up on your motherboard from the case [e.g. The power button wire, restart button wire, LED lights wire].

I got a new case about a year ago, its great.

And if you get lost or you forget where to connect the wires.. Look closely on your motherboard there should be like a Little Table, it has the names of each wire next to where it should be connected.

Good luck, if your after a better case go to PC Case Gear, they have pretty decent customer support and deliver very fast! I bought my case from there and 5 LED Fans.

thanks again for the info im looking at the link now,

but how about the cases that have extra fans an lights i wouldnt know were they go

take a few photos of your old case, with the lid off, and take as many pics needed so you get a pic of all the connections,

than if you get stuck, you can trace them back from your photos,

and remember static electricity is your worse enemy, static build up will kill motherboards and devices easy, you really should be wearing a static wristband while doing this stuff, but i know people will say they never do, but they cant whinge when they turn there pc on, and it frys the main board!!!

goodluck

Well, the extra fans and stuff is pretty simple, they connect to power splitters from your PSU. PSU = Power supply, the big box in the top right corner of your case. It powers everything, Unless you get I think they are 20mm Fans [The big ones] They hook up to the motherboard, its pretty simple if you look at the connections, they seem to fit in the right places.

I used to be a computer nerd, I remember alot of this stuff.. Well I guess I still am, but i aint forking out shitloads of money to modify my pc lol.

and Pitmaster is right, static electricity is a bitch, Pimp it with static wristband or something that wont effect your pc by your static build up :D

ok thanks again ill have a look at some cases,

i opened mine up to check out all the connections an so on and it seems pretty straight forward,

im just wondering about static electricity if i use a hair dryer or a compressor at low psi to blow out the dust an **** inside will that be ok or will it create static

Haha, Im sure it would be fine, but I wouldnt recommend it. Go down to Dicks Smith or a store that sells like electronics and get a can of Compressed air. They are about 12 bux, it blows the dust right off and does no harm to PC parts.

But open a window or something, so all the compressed air isnt just floating around it makes you dizzy when you breath it in [personal experience].

Good luck

NERDS:D

I dig my case.... lmao
