F50 is the same to look at as a F20 or Toyota Blizzard but has a 2.5 diesel donk and 4 speed tranny. F70 is a Rocky.

If you plan off road driving then any diesel is a better option than a petrol IMO. In both my daihatsus I was able to put it in 1st (high range not low range) and just realease the cluthch and idle up the steepest hill in baulkham hills without touching the accelerator. I proved it ot a mate who owned a landcruiser and he couldent believe it. In low range it would have been able to do it with a trailer. My point about the diesel is that often when you are in a hairy situation being able to creep along is much better than having to rev the engine and risk spinning the wheels.

I lernt to drive on sand in 2WD cars so i know how not to spin the wheels, the scat is just my fast and nasty project. High power, high speed and high thrills. I canned the diesel idea due to the weight of the engine. I already have a diesel hilux for load hauling

I rolled mine (tipped it on the side about 10 times) and we called it daddy long legs (raised 50mm). I wouldnt go to hard as they tip pretty easy. Even my rocky ended up on its side in a very low speed incident (60 year old dad was driving it at about 25kph) and was written off. The Tow trucks came and towed the hyaundi that hit it and a couple of blokes tipped it back on its wheels and dad just drove it home.

I forgot that once my wife (girl friend at the time) did a lap of mout panorama in the Rocky and was coming down conrod straight at 60ks and went into caltex chase without hitting the brakes. My life flashed before my eyes but somehow she managed to get into the the sand trap and no damage done. It was the first time she ever drove one of my cars as we had only been together for a couple of weeks.
