Dirt tyres for RX ?

hey guys, time to upgrade my tyres on my RX. guy at the local shop told me that there is no 12 inch dirt tyre suitable for light road use too, is this true?

what do you guys run for dirt/road use?

he is right,there are no 12inch knobblies available that are approved for highway use.
which means if you go ahead and install knobblies a:your bike is defectable and b:if you have an accident your insurance including your third party on your rego will be nil and void

how can you identify road worthy tyres?

most tyres have written on the side of them "NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE"

kenda makes one, K760 Trakmaster II
but in the front only a 14inch or 10inch so if u wanted them u would need a new rim, the are dirt80/20

cheers mate, now i just have to see if i can track one over here. would it be out of the question to put a 12inch rear onto the front of the rx and just use two rear tyres?

no it not, i know heaps of people that ride dirt with a rear tire for the front that like it alot, tho i don't know how well it will go on the bitumen, and the tire will fit in the forks if you did want to

When i go to our shop today, ill check the to see if it is in there and the price for you.
