I read that a cheap way to increase power is to remove the baffle. They say it does increase power but it makes it louder. Is it a bad loud? Like a crackling raspy noise? What type of sound does it produce and is the power increase true?

some say it increases penis size...

no it wont change the power.. as because the baffling is not a restriction in the system it just surrounds the inside of your pipe

Would it be bad? and what about the sound it makes?

It will sound like crap if you take it out like a real hollow sound, no benefit the only thing you could take out is the spark arrester for a louder more free flow exhaust if you have one.

just punch it out with a screwdriver if thats what you want to do, as everyone else does

Removing the baffle actually causes the gases to fight there way out of the muffler as there is no longer a straight exit towards the tip disrupting the flow

It wont really increase power, people who say it does are fooled by it being louder and therefore seems more powerful. It won't increase hp but does significantly increase **** factor

Between baffle and the rounding there is wool, right ? The wool is there to create back compression so gases are forced out, therefore wool and baffle are there to increase performance. I had my wool all burned in one exhaust and the engine felt unpowered, as soon as i put in some new wool it went much sharper.
