hey guys i am riding a 2007 model 140cc pitpro... it seems to ride well in most respects, however when riding my mates 2009 model 140cc pitpro, mine seems considerably down on power, both low end torque and top end power, which means im often needed to shift down a gear and rings the tits off the thing before i can use the next gear up (and being left behind in the mean time)..
im not sure what it is, iv done the simple things like tuning the carby and resetting the air mixture...im not sure if maybe i need to do the valve clearances and if this even sounds like it may be the cause? i was wondering maybe where there may be a specialist in SA or if anyone in SA on the forums can help??
thanks lads
Mick

doing valve clearences is always going to make your bike run and sound better , has it got low compression u might need to do a topend?

nah compression is good.. great id say... but it is louder than my mates, but starts beautifully first kick every time.. so valves it is then??
with the valve tools is it easy to stuff this up or fairly strait forward?

its a pretty easy thing to do, if you look in the tech section there will be a thread on how to do it.
