the KBS or PPC clear is excellent stuff, most of their paints are 'hammer tough'.
tap it with a ball pein hammer and it doesn't chip off.

powdercoat is probably the cheapest way, but you'd need to get a few bits done at a time to keep the costs down.
 
Thanks Craig there is a powdercoater in town here they do alloy window frames etc i might have to call in and see them.
 
dave, give it a killer polish up,
then get a decent quality alloy specific clear coat on it, or have it clear powdercoated.
then it will wash up clean after each ride, and not need constant repolishing

Hes being tricky mate, bet it has bunny ears for tickling the old girl. Being a bloke he won't put it in the used toys section lol. This bloke is off chops haha
