last time they were on ebay they went for $385 then they reappeared again:rolleyes:

Wouldn't that just mean they have multiple stock? They cant sell them for $305 then not deliver

I guess someone from there store could have bought them so they didnt sell, but that wouldn't have stopped one of us dropping a bid for $350 or something on them in the closing seconds. Worst case scenario they don't deliver, paypal refunds you the money

you should just clear up that feedback has nothing to do with this, its the "bid accuracy with the seller" to look out for, 2 of them have 100% acuracy with em but only bid 2 or so times, the dude, with 47% acuracy is to look at , he has bid on 7 items, and half of em from that seller...

Ok I might just be ill informed. But i was told to look for feedback, maybe I got confused? Hmmm pretty sure tho.
Look at a variety of listings that seem to be going cheap until the last day. Then magic, The bids roll in from people with high feedback. The price rises up to about where it has been for the last few auctions and presto! Suddenly a major bargain turns into a good buy but not as good as it could have been without them. Don't get me wrong usually still a good deal. Watch an Atomik auction as a good reference, There will be 1 or 2 bidders with high feedback scores bidding from a low price right up until it hits an acceptable price for them, then poof! No more bids from him.
Still my opinion and what I have been led to believe through advice and experience. This does not by any means go for all auctions. Just the ones that seem to pump up right at the end to a similar price every time.
Mattbombers you may well be right. I am just calling it as I see it.

yeah bro, feed back is not what your talking about. feed back is a good thing, that tells buyers what sellers are like, and sellers what buyers are like:)

and the reason in the last minutes it raises soo much is simply because the majority or people will chuck it in the last minutes hoping to get a bargain,

but yeah it does happen alot, but feedback has nothing to do with the price jumping sellers.

Right, Fair bump. I obviously am slightly confused.
I am not talking about the last few mins though. I am talking in general about the last day early, Usually when you are watching an item and it is lookin good for a bargain price. Then some random comes on, With hours to go and pumps the price up by hundreds (using a bike as example here). We all know not to bid before the last few mins, and most of us not until the last min or so. I am talkin about these bidders that for no good reason bid early on last day and pump that price up a huge amount for nobodys gain other than the sellers. We have all seen it happen.
Once again, Just my thoughts.

You're right Oldhack ... most vendors ebay auctions are rigged ... What you look for is people with high bid activity with the seller ... I have a 697 feedback score 100.0% positive for the past 6 years and have never given or received a negative or even a neutral ... but I snipe my bids in the last 15 to 2 seconds ...

Whenever I place bids with sellers , my bid activity with the seller is around 5% or less ... when you see ******s with 50% or higher bid activity with a seller ... you are seeing a scammer (shill bidder) ... regardless of their feedback score or percentage ... it's the BID ACTIVITY with any particular seller that you look for ... Then you watch for feedback to be given and received to verify if the buyer was genuine or a shill bidder ... Aside from that whenever the end prices of items are consistently close ... you know for 100% positive that you're seeing bulls~hit in action ...

I've followed hundreds of auctions over the past 6 years and seen the pattern ...

I'm also positive there are ******s who "sport bid" just to make others pay more ...

You're best to bid on auctions when you know most buyers will either be out pissing up OR are broke after blowing their cash over the weekend and are too tired to sit at a computer concentrating on pushing the price up ... Don't even put the listings in your my ebay watch list because that lets the sellers know someone is going to have a stab at their item in the last seconds ... so they'll put in a counter snipe just in case somebody bids ... Instead , book mark the listing and go to it to bid 10 to 15 seconds out ... that way you'll "snowball" the seller and his scumbag shill bidder mates ... They won't even know where the fook you came from ... :D

I've picked up quite a few bargains that way ... One of the cheapest was a new Lifan 140 for $182 + $30 postage off DHZ ... I also won another one for $210 that way ... I won a Keihin PE-28 carb kit with cable , manifold , rubber adaptor and Uni Filter for $50 AUD ... plus shirt loads of other stuff ...

You have to out smart the shill bidders by not putting auctions in your ebay watch list and most importantly ... by not placing a bid until the last few seconds when it's too late for others to see your bid then respond to it ... You WILL cop other snipers who are using the same tactics as you are ... but at least you'll know the price you won the item for was fair and square since nobody else knew you even existed ...

i actually use a snipe tool also , wont bid till the 1 sec of auction , i dont even need to bookmark or nothing the snipe handles it all , and i can watch the item from the snipe tool , great thing to have

if members are interested i have it free online for you to use if you like , just shoot me a pm plz

yep theres plenty of scamming sellers on ebay...
1 seller in particular i keep and eye on sells lathes and mills and sht like tht...
they relist an item and within the first hr theres already 5 bids on the items and every relist is the same.
and these are usually 5 day auctions..

and theres plenty like them on ebay so ya just gotta play smart and only bid in the last 10seconds or so and bounce your total price you would pay or maybe $10 more..

another key is the faster yr internet connection the better you can be at sniping. iv seen prices bounce in the last 2 seconds...

What I do is get the auction up with 10 minutes to go ... then open the computers "adjust date and time" clock ... look at the auction end time ... then do test runs by hitting the refresh button at the exact minute and second of the auction end anytime ... When the page reloads it'll tell you how much time is left to the second ... any discrepancy shows how fast or slow your computer takes to register a bid so you'll know precisely when you need to bid ... I've won items with 1 second to spare buy placing manual bids ...

The sniper software sounds a lot easier though ... as long as the seller can't see that you're watching his listing ...

i just put in my max. offer at like 2-3 mins to go sometimes more and just hope i get it, if it goes over, oh well haha

It's better to bid the max you'll pay with 15 seconds to go ... otherwise some smart ass will chase your bid up to make you pay more or even to outbid you by 1 cent to $1 ... and you'll miss out ...

yep people that bid retardedly early are the main victims of the ebay scams, makes it way too easy for them to ramp the price up on ya
