Electric Mini

Been planning on getting the little fella a CRF50 for Xmas but have recently discovered a few electric mini's (Torrot E10, YCF50E & OSet) which has now got me thinking if going electric might be better...

Electric Pros:
- Pretty much silent, so can build a small track at home and won't annoy the neighbours or go down the road to a big open field
Electric Cons:
- More expensive than a CRF50
- Has to be charged
- Parts compatibility / availability

CRF50 Pros:
- Cheaper
- Proven reliability
- Upgrades
- Parts compatibility / availability
CRF50 Cons:
- Won't be able to ride in the yard or down the road

Anyone got any experience with the electric minis?

I was looking at the torrot for my boy , was too many unknowns
And i had rode a ktm50 with electric conversion is fella in nsw that does kits.
Was fun to ride only thing has no engine braking so have to be on brakes to slow down.
Could be tricky for learner??
Honda with stock pipe pretty quite but no electric haha

Yeah still undecided and as you said too many unknowns. I guess if I block the fence and get the CRF the neighbours might think I'm just mowing the lawn :laughing-smiley-002
