Hello all knowledgable Riders!!!
Please help me. i have what seems to be a gy150 or ddr150 its running hot and seems like its idleing way too fast, ive adjusted the idle screw and it doesnt help much at all. The bike will start fine with choke on full it idles really fast settles down a little then when its warmed up i flick the chock to half and the idle revs through the roof and the bike starts to spit and eventually dies.
Could this be an issue of valve clearance? Any one know what the valve clearance is ment to be on something like this and how to do it?
Any help would be appreciated and my experiance is verry little so detail would be nice too
thanks

I'd do the valves anyway, takes 10 mins. They should be .003 for the intake and .004 for the exhaust. Sounds like a carby issue though. Check your float levels/give it a clean etc maybe?

Have you lost any compression? If not then I doubt it'll be your valves. How to check valves:

Probabaly just a bit of dirt stuck in your carbi. Just give your carbi a clean in some fuel and then blow it dry with an air gun if possible:

sounds like an inlet manifold leak also check your exhaust flange gasket. if either of them are leaking it will run lean and hot.

^^^ what he said :)

set your valve clearance, then pull off the carby, clean it, reseal the manifold.... should be good after that

Ok so i cleaned the carbi and done the valve timming, today i will reseal the manifolds. Im getting so excited finnally might get this thing to run right!! Ill tell you guys how it goes
Thanks heaps:)

This happened to me recently .. It's most likely a leak in the inlet manifold
