Feral 250 air box

Hi, has anyone got any suggestions for waterproofing/ modifying the air box to minimise water ingestion into the air box? Different air filter, extra shielding around the box?

Is there any way to run an adaptor like a piece of radiator hose or something to attach to the airbox and position it's opening in a hidden spot. Any pics dude?

No space for a air hose, the gap at the back of the box is the biggest opening, the air filter is a bit average but the outlet to the carny is about 60mm, the water drain is after the air filter

Can you eliminate the airbox all together and run some hose from the carby to the air filter and route it to a suitable spot. There is these covers also and usually have a pod paper filter which i remove and install a 42mm foam air filter and oil it up.
