I got my first bike today, a PitPro Daytona 125cc se. at 27 y/o I'm pretty sure this bike will kill me :D
I love the little monster. Still running it in so I am taking it easy. Once it's run in I'll have to think of another excuse for being a pretty below average ride. :(
I know alot of people don"t like the pitpro daytona, but the price was right and it's perfect for me.
I haven't ridden other bikes but when you open it up a bit it's hells bells and fury.
I wont post pics unless people really want them, it looks the same as the one on the web site.
When I went to pick it up yesterday it wouldn't start. Almost killed me to wait an extra day for it to be fixed!
Anyhoo I just thought I'd introduce myself a bit. I ride on my missus family property in Macclesfield, Vic. My first taste for pit bikes came a while ago when my missus brother got a pitpro 160 and put a big bore kit on it. That thing was a weapon! Unfortunately it was burnt in a fire on new years day which absolutely gutted him. Then a couple weeks ago I bought my missus a TDRPRO 125 quad to fang around in. After a nightmare of a time with the stock carby (i just put on a 26mm mikuni in the end) i found that i loved the little terror of a motor. So last weekend I went to motorbike city and ordered my bike.
I think I crapped on a bit there, damn wine!

Welcome mate ...one thing about the run in you still wanna rev it and get it hot enough to bed the pistons n rings in .... I'm not happy I've achieved this till my header pipe is purple ... some may say that's a bit too much .... but ya gotta rev it ... just don't hold it wide till it valve bounces .

hey mate and welcome to miniriders...

hope ya have fun on yr new bike.
but just remember, maintenance is the key to a pit bike lasting.
theres a few threads around here as to how to setup and things to do to a new pit bike..
heres one

cheers

I went through that page and found it fantastic! Hats off to Thump*140 for the hands down the easiest to understand starters guide I've read! Admittedly I still have to do alot of the stuff he said but you know... the paddock was calling :D

I gave it a good run, hopefully I got it nice and hot.

Scared the hell out of my self a few times but that's what it's meant for!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

2 days of riding and I tried to pop a mono and snaped the clutch lever. Damnit

oh gibbids you are gonna have a ball on that thing. the daytona 125 is nice.

you can change when in the rev ban most of the power comes in by adjusting the timing manualy.
take the engine cover off on the chain side, and slide the little black thing and and the bottom of the
big gold flywheel. have a play around different positions and see what you like best.

it can make the bike more ridable for beginners. the daytona 125 can really come in hard on the top end when you rev it and might scare you.
i know i changed the timing for my girlfriend to ride and it was much more usable.

I have been keepin an eye on the oil. M first oil change was odd. only got about 600ml of oil out of it, so I wonder if they ship it a bit low?

The bike is probably fast enough for me for a while. I am like an uber-novice rider :)

Work today was hard on account of I can't lift my arms above my head any more, but at least I knew i was heading back to the bike... oh and the missus of course, but mostly the bike

u need to tip the bike over on it's right side to get the oil out, just keep going back n forth and you get tonns more out than if you just pull the plug n let it drain
