gear box dramahs

does any one no if you can fix the gearboxes myn jumps out of gear and gets netural all the time and some times will shift up two gears would love some advice or ideas on how to fix other than get a new engine

Could be worn out clutch plates or springs. Someone should be able to help you out from here.

i had the same thort re built my clutch yesterday with a set of new frictions springs were good and it still does it

Yeah it sounds like you have a broken detent spring. Unfortunaly you have to split the housings to fix it, which means everything appart. Best not to do this unless you know whats up or you will wreck more stuff strippin it down. Check one of the wholesalers whole engines are usually only around 300 or so.

Hey there, it could be your shift star that is the problem, this could be fixed easy, by removing it and then grinding the cog down abit. After that it should shift perfectly, this is a problem known in chinese engines. Particularly LIFAN engines. You can also buy a new shift star..
