Gear slipping

My week old PitPro Daytona 125cc seems to slip out of gear in second.
When it does this it's really hard to get it into first and sometimes seems to lock into 2nd when i stall
I done an oil change recently, with 10w40 mineral.
I'll probably take it into the shop tomorrow morning but i hate the idea of dropping it off and waiting a month for someone to fix it!

Not really. I've only toped it a few times. still getting the hang of riding
I did brake the clutch lever last week. But the new one seems to be adjusted properly

It got a faulty gear shifter, the 125s have that issues in the EARLY daytonas 125s with the 1 N 2 3 4. and that what all the pit pros have in them to get rid of old stock, you need to get yourself a N 1 2 3 4 shift drum.

warranty... tell em its a common problem and you want the later shift drum put in it..

it isn't a common issue, If the rider fully engage the gears. we had 3 Daytona's 125 used for our club, Queensland and Aussie season and never once failed,

maybe just the shift drum star is loose.. but yeah warranty either way

Nar its not the star, its get tight and binds, not much you couldn't tell if it was apart that it was even, but its effects it enough to stop gear changers, he will need a hole new shift drum

my 125 did that the first time i rode it and did it all year and asked the shop to fix it and they said theres nothing wrong so kept on riding and 4 weeks ago it blowup

Okay I should have the n1234 drum on tuesday. Can anyone point me to a good thread on changing the drum? Any tools i need beside a socket set? Thanks in advanced guys!

Thats preety much all you need and circlip pliers. Have a look through these:

Have a read of the bottom thread. My advise. Take photos to be safe and remember where all the bolts go..

Should i get a new gasket too? i suppose it wouldnt hurt to pick one up

Yep a whole new gasket set. You can re-use the old one if you don't tear or demage the old ones but I'ld advise getting new ones.

you only need one gasket for the side, and you will need the tool to remove the clutch
