I'm am currently with AAMI and I asked about that because someone had told me something similar, AAMI refuse to do it. I would also be surprised if NRMA would cover the bike to its current insured value under standard content insurance, they would mostly like give you the market value of the bike which would be around $1500. JLT is an insurance broker and I took out a policy for an agreed value of the bike, I just have to supply receipts or photos if anything ever happens..

true, so its basically incase it gets stolen? a few houses in my street got robbed this week so im getting a big lock for my bike. you'd have to be silly to rob my house though lol

Yeah makes me feel a bit more relaxed knowing that if anything ever happens its not a complete loss.. I try not to attract to much attention by riding it around the streets, washing it out the front etc..

Yep Nrma do cover the replacement of the bike along with the cost of the replacement parts.
The policy is a new for old policy , so even if your old 2002 model is stolen it is replaced with a brand new crf50 along with the cost of the replacement parts.
You don't need to list the bike seperate on the policy as its considered a contents item.
Proof of ownership is required at the time of a claim.
So even kids with ktm 65's are automatically covered on the contents policy, crazy huh !

what does the valve head breather do? does it let off pressure or something?

Thats sweet looking pipe mate!! bet she sound and look evan cool'r on ya bike ;)

That is the sickest pipe I've seen mate truly. If you don't mined me asking where did you get it from and how did you do the heat treatment it looks awesome. Defiantly let us know how it goes.

I bought it of a guy on PM, he had bought two, put one on his bike and gave one to a mate. He sold the one he had on his bike and his mate never used the other one so he got it back still in its packaging and put it up for sale. It was up for sale for a few days and there was a heap of interest but no one had committed, so I bite the bullet and paid for it straight away. I believe there wasn't many of these pipes ever made as it is all Ti and carbon fibre.

As far as heat treating, I cleaned the pipe really well with iso-propyl alcohol and hung it on some wire. I used a MAP gas torch and evenly heated the pipe until it went a nice blue/purple colour, it's kind of like painting, if you over heat a section the colour starts to lighten.

Managed to get it put on tonight..

Defiantly one of the best 50s gettin round or hardly around haha, no seriously top effort mate. What do you do for work rob banks.

Hey Gerro, have I ever mentioned if there was a 50 build of the year you would win haha. Sik 50 forsure champ.

Thanks guys.. Would definitely love a primmy but it would mean I would have to give up my new pipe, so it probably wouldn't happen any time soon, maybe in a KLX110 build if I ever do one.

I had to order a new glide plate cos the Fast50s one I had now doesn't fit with the new exhaust because of the size of the header pipe, so I got a new Lightspeed carbon fibre glide plate from Pitbikepitstop which is more moulded to fit the engine so hopefully it fits without to much hassle.. Will post some photos once it arrives..

isnt it only the perimeter frames that need a new pipe? this bike is off the chain man. you need to buy a harley or something old school and do that up instead lol
