Hey..
I'm looking at the GPX 160..I wanna know the good and bad about the engine and if theres anything I should be carefully of when running the engine or anything that they are netoris of?
Also general imput would be good
how do they compare to the quality and make of other similar engines?
cheers..

Yeh rito...how do the gpx's go against the 155z?

155's have a different style head , and people have claimed they will perform better then a yx150/160 engine ... but who ya gonna beleive? it wouldnt be much of a difference anyway...

God forbid someone actually answers the question asked, instead of discussing an engine that no mention was made of.. ha ha ha...
Mate i havent had much to do with the YX160, but they are capable of good numbers, reliability, like any other motor, is good if it's looked after, but if you are looking at one, enquire as to whether it's had the centre case upgrade or not... these things are known to crack cases... (but then so is pretty much every other pit bike engine 140cc and above...)
Yes, the 155z is a great motor, but then the 160 wasnt that bad either, and is a strong performer...

yeh i agree with thump*140-
the 160 is still very popular at the races.
but there was alot more 155z getting put in bike every race meet.
the 155z will still take all upgrades the 160 will take. eg- 184 big bore kit, V2 head etc etc.

your choice but i would take the 155z. as i own one and love the power. alot!!

where do you get the 184 bore kit and the V2 head from?
