by how much though? cause im a bit jealous :cheeky-smiley-031:
im still trying to rap my head around the fact my 160 is so much more powerful in every way than the vertical 250s. No one put enough emphasis on it, I got the impression the 250 would have a bit more down low but the 160's rev a lot higher and make more up top. Nope. they utterly demolish a 250, by a HUGE margin

so again. how does a GPX125 compare? use big meaningful words :cheeky-smiley-031:

If it helps, how do the 160s compare to 140s then? cause it seems like theres a massive gap between them

most of the 250's use poorly designed heads with the same valvesizes as the tb v2 head and also run pushrods that also like to suck power (some of them) they have good low down tourque and thats abotu it probably because of camgrind and borexstroke configuration and they dont run high comp (or as extremely as tbv2head) also the cam grind cant be to agressive and highly sprung because of the pushrods plus they have the same valve sizes and then push them through a big and bulky gearbox and weigh heaps..

its mainly about flow and some configurations though thats usually what makes a good engine.. oh yeah and not grenading every 10 hours also makes a good engine

lets compare a lifan 140 to the 150
they run a different less agressive cam in the lf140 to actually use a bit of power with the exrtreamly long bore and little piston where as because the lifan 150 has a little better bore to stroke ratio they can use stronger valve springs and a higher lift cam therefor they make more power but to get the best out of them you have to run the biggest bore in them and bigest valves to get the best top end performance you will ever get out of the restrictive design

wow wow wow mate, your comparing a chinese 160 to a brand name 250??? im dumb founded that you are actully thinkin this is possible... have you riddin the TB v2 heads 177,185,201 kits? if you havent riddin the bog bore kits you would then think you bike would keep up wiith a CR500!!

the 160HO motors are SLUGS!! and need a good ol kick in the ass to get them up and running.. there slow for the cc's they are.. BUT put on a better carb and maybe a High comp piston and it will start to open up the rev range abit. other then those 2 minor mods the 160's are slowwww.

reason they made the TB bore kits cause there need more grunt!

the GPX125 motors are great motors take it from a person thats raced it and done well on them i was able to get top 5 A grade out of 30 other contestants in the Braap tooridin round against the other guys infront running 201 and 190 animas on a SX style track. sorry to be blunt but you have alot of people on here saying the same thing is i have think its should be giving you a good idea about the product.

again GPX125 motor have the more head and bore kit options being TB v2 heads and if your good with a milling machine you will get 138 out of the 146 tb kits ;)

140's arnt the way to go... for racing the open 10" class has a 125 max cc limit and the 140's dont have a class to run.. if you were to race the 140 it would be with the big girls 184,190 animas and 201 TB v2 kits and thats a basic no hope on a mx style track sx might have a chance but with out higher revs more grunt and power its somwhat impossible.

160's with out tb parts is like eating pasta with out the sauce..... just not right!! needs that KICK!!!

all in all im over my rant about these motors... last thing i will say is drop all motors and buy a 150/190 anima you will never look back

im comparing the 160 to a chinese 250 vertical. its definately no slug. I normally ride big bores i.e. 550/650. the dpro 160 i got absolutely demolishes the 250 and has a lot of punch so not sure what the go is here.

ima waitin for some funds to do exactly that if the transmissions last long in the anima's witch no debut they will
