thats good speed dvd i can get a movie say 700 mb in about 20 to 30 mins depending on seeds ,

well telstra still havnt hooked up a ******* phone line at ours ... been over 6 months

And dont get me started on wireless crap

yea I'm talkin like max seeds maxing my connection... so a less popular or older movie can take hours but most the time I'm downloading the latest movies n tv episodes so full speed ahead.... tv eps take 5mins,,, when I was on spin 256 it would take nearly 24hours just to download a movie and at full speed >.<

yep im with tpg and have been for over 7 years(internet and mobile). i also resell there plans(dealer) so tech support for me is ten times easier, no waiting on hold and i speak to an Australian based guru.

my suggestion is that if anyone does want to sign up with tpg look locally for a dealer. all the headaches are none existent .

another thing to consider to is that they are the cheapest in aus for internet/downloads so they have to skimp on tech support to keep costs done.

and also cause telstra own majority of the phone equipment in aus tpg have to rely on there lazy ass's to get the new connections and repairs done..

and guess what, even telstra have an overseas tech support now(well last couple of years)

+1

They all do, I sell optus, virgin, vodafone, 3, crazy johns, dodo and boost and any customer service/new connections etc im on the phone to Mumbai or the Philippines

lol all phone/internet companies are hard to deal with... telstra especially .. they have phone sales people ring you and sell you plans tht dont even exist. lol try and sort tht out once youv ported over to em.. it done my head in..

lol and my bro has worked for them for 25yrs now.. even he says there a bunch of *******..

My point is WHY tell the customer a bulls~hit connection time frame if they can't stick to it ???? ... It's quite simple ... be honest about when they CAN complete the connection instead of roping you in then jerking you around blaming someone else for any delays ... IF they had told us it'd take up to 11 days then we could have either accepted that ... OR tried elsewhere ...

I hope they get to read this thread ... I should email the link to 'em ...

yer GOTALK had us full convinced they were selling us adsl+2

but when we got im thinking WOW adsl+2 is heaps over rated, to find out later it was just adsl and they have ********* service and i could into it deeper but couldnt be stuffed

yeah i hear ya cactus. id say they had trouble with telstra or sumthing. every connection iv got them to setup has never taken longer than 5 days setup.. average is 3days from the day they deposit yr card or account..
if it takes longer than it usually means your connected on a rim or are out of the 5k radius from the exchange, which results in your line not qualifying for the connection..

but your connected now right? so there must of been a major stuff up..

4 words sum up TPG's normal tech support... DUMB AS DOG SHT

also wat i have seen done heaps is that telstra setup up the wrong line...

I havea telstra turbo wireless USB modem AND THERE GREAT....BUT
to get the bloody thing activated mum rang every day for two weeks for an adveradge of an hour and couldn't get any one to register it becuase online does work and this went on until the point where mum had to email the CEO of telstra to get them activated
Telstra really sucks

yep sadly there is nothing real great any more regarding customer service when dealing with major corporate companies... they simply dont seem to care. they got yr money thats all there worried about lol

Yes , we finally got it on and so far it's been good ... I emailed the link to this thread to 'em ... Ha ha ...
