Honda Z50JE Restoration

Hi, I found this forum searching Google for some help with my 1977 Honda Z50 Restoration. Looks pretty sweet!

Ok here's some info on my bike;

Engine Number - Z50JE - 1141056

Chassis Number - Z50J - 1150175

Year - 4/77


Now, I had found the Beatrice Cycle web site a while back & thought it was brilliant how many parts he had for sale. & pretty cheap too! He's in the US. & since the Australian dollar is so good at the moment, now is a good time to buy from him!

But i soon found out he will NOT post parts outside the US! Now that SUX!!

But lucky for me i have a friend in the US who I can use their address for Beatrice to send the parts to, then my friend will forward them onto me. I thought that would solve my problem. But no...................

This Beatrice guy is a real prick! I have never met someone that is SO unhelpful!! I'm planning on spending over $1000 on his parts & all he can do is come up with excuses why I cant buy his parts!!!??? WTF!??
I have a Heap of parts I want to order, I had a couple of questions for him asking about model fitments ect.
Firstly he wouldn't answer my email's. Then I finally got something out of him. But it wasn't an answer to any of my questions. All he said was that you have a Honda Z50J, the J model was not in the US. & if you are outside of the US I cannot accept your paypal payment. (which I know is a load of crap! Cause I do it all the time) Its like trying to get blood out of a stone!

Ok SO, my question is, my model is a Z50JE. I take it that this is an Australian model?
Does his statement hold any merit? Will the parts I'm ordering from his site most likely not fit my model at all?
I thought a 77 Z50 is a 77 Z50? Surely most of the parts I have on order will fit!?

well i recon the only part that would be different would be the headlight lense (different beam pattern) every thing else should be bolt on fitment. I could be wrong so dont quote me on that

I dont think beatrice ship out of the US , been there done that, try DiscountHondaParts.com, Honda, Polaris, KTM, Ski-Doo, Motorcycle, ATV,Snowmobile, Parts and Accessories. for part numbers and give your local honda dealer the list of part numbers you want , they'll probley help you out on price since you got so much, then start looking else where like classic honda or if all else fails try uk monkey bikes

DRATV is a BS artist ........ I've tried to contact them to ship and I have a 100.0 % positive feedback 366 score on over 660 items bought from all over the world using paypal ...... zero problems ever . I've noticed that big50.com sell most of their parts for massively INFLATED prices ........ they've most likely got some sort of agreement going with each other .........

Dratv has been listing Lifan BVH mega cams (Z40) cheap on ebay for yonks and not selling many ..... mainly because the idiots won't ship International ........ BTW ....... jdmscooters can most likely get you a lot of those Z50 parts cheap and he won't rip you off with postage either ....... just be patient with shipping and allow 30 plus days ...... he's a bit slow with posting and the parts come from Vietnam . I've bought Lifan cams , cam sprockets , valve stem seals , fuel taps etc off him with NO probs ....

Yes this Beatrice Mung Bean is REALLY STARTING TO PISS ME OFF!!

BEATRICE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD ON THE NET!!!

He now tells me that because Im not in the US he cant accept my Paypal payment!!!! WTF!???

I pay for things overseas with paypal all the time!! why cant he??

Every time I email him with a question, he wites ba.........actually no most of the time I dont get a reply, but of the couple times I got a reply he writes back with an excuse that has absolutly nothing to do with my question at all!!??
