Hooking up a RPM Gauge

hey guys im new on this forum
jsut wondering how to hook up a rmp gauge what wires go where and do i need direct power or run it to the frame or what

Im pretty sure you should be able to pick up a pulse from the Negative on the Coil.

For pitbikes the only ones that work. they have 1 wire that wraps around the sparkplug lead like this one
