How Do I Build A Berm?

Ok thanks heaps for your help.
How long do you reckon it would take to make a solid berm.
Not that time is a concern, just wondering.

get some hardcore, put that down and mould to what shape you want, We havea track a farmer has built for us. its got hill climbs and everything, pretty decent for pits, also couple of big bikes come over, 450 cr etc. banshee etc

So berms are still functional if they are going downhill and then turning left or right through the berm?

Berms can be made on any corner and especially on corners going down or up hills coz that just add to the fun and increases the track speed.

good work man, god i remember making my track and having to dig the berm out like that. ill post some pics of mine. now all you need to do is water it right down and let it dry out again, then ride, ride, ride, ride and ride on it some more and youll have a nice rut form.

that is one that i made my self

here is one that has just formed over time by its self

and this does have a berm i made my self here, even though you cant see it in the pic.

Yeh it does ride well, only got to go through it a couple of times before I had to leave home though...
I was pretty much rolling into it in 2nd gear and then gassing it out the other end
Im happy with it

Yeh I gave it a water after I finished making it but of course that wouldnt soak all the way through.
So I think every day once im finished with it I will just give it another water and yeh eventually it will become rock hard, well hopefully =]

Yeh to be honest the second one looks the best and as you said, that one formed over time
The 1st one is pretty damn good aswell!
