How do I stop this from happening spanner spinners?

yeah that'll do it, lol

just push the oil filter cover on firm so it seats flush, and spin the bolts in finger tight, then nip them up

You wouldn't bloody believe it! I semi packed up the bike n tools and decided to mow the lawn, after which I get my blower out n clean off the concrete!??

Can't bloody find it anywhere? :frustrated:

So any ideas where I can get another one?

the o'ring has a 8mm o/d, 5mm i/d so 1.5mm diameter. probably get away with an 8mm od, 2mm thick one too ?


any car parts places around you, bearing shops etc
iirc, you can get a pack of assorted o'rings from bunnings plumbing section too for about $3 (temporary fix)

Worked a treat mate! I used an 8mm/od and 4.44mm/id,

so in the end, did you bend either of the arms at the shift star/drum, to stop it from happening again ?

Yes mate, ended up pulling the little wheel out as far as it would go. I think this issue was it would get stuck in front of the shift fork on a downward shift. Fingers crossed it's fixed!
