ummm, it's not gonna push through the compression by itself.
ok, so lets say you're about to kick it, if you just slowly keep kicking it over instead of a hard starting kick, is the first half of the kick easy before it gets to the hard spot again. the idea is to kick it just past the compression so when you kick start it there's no resistance(compression) until the end of the kick, that way the engine builds momentum and the flywheel helps carry it through to avoid it kicking back.
using this method do you still get kickback at all?
 
sean can you elaborate? you've got me worried, what was so wrong about my post before?

I cant remember any kickbacks while using this method and I have been using it for the past week or so.
Since you showed me the video I reckon i've got it nailed :D
