my bike the agb29 has had the rear brake system replaced twice.

this is because when they are bled, the brake pads never used to come anywhere near close to the disk.

only sometimes one pad would be right near the disk but the other pad would be really far away from it.

Are there any ways to adjust this other than bleeding, or should i just buy a better brake system if there are any.

id say the you calipa isnt the right set up for your disk ;)
im pritty sure you can get differnt sized disks, like thickness
id try getting a thicker disk if the probblem is giving you the shits or atleast look into it ;)=)

Your wheel could be out of line or the caliper might be loose, that was the reason for it on my old bike.

its all standard i havent touched anything..

i was riding and i realised the rear brakes wouldnt lock so i checked the pads and one is close but the right pad is far.

called the store and they told me their faulty.

why would i need a new disk brake if everything was working?

the wheel is in line, how do i tighten the caliper?

I think one pad is supposed to touch the disk and the other one moves.

when you push your foot on the pedal does it move at all??
or move right at the bottem?? maybe you need to adjust the thingie on the end of your pedal =)

could be a couple of things... sure u bleed it propply?? 4 ages??

i even got a machanic to bleed it, he told me something must be wrong with the brake system

I'm pretty sure thats how its supposed to be... one pad is supposed to touch the disk at all times.

yes the left pad is supposed to not move but the right is. but in this case the right one is way too far away.

i am getting a new brake system tomorrow hopefully it works properly

this is seriously off the hook

tried 2 other brake system setups. bled both of them and when you press the brake lever none of the pads move.

could the brake lever be the problem or even the brake line?

please reply asap as i need help.

You obviously bled them wrong and theres still alot of air in the lines.

i adjusted the rod..

still no difference.

ill try use the syringe way, i just do it the normal way.

so inject fluid in the nipple until its full?

ok i bled them again for about 30 times and now they work but when the brakes pedal is pressed it makes a sqeaky noise at the reservior thing.

what does this mean and how do i fix it?
