So I picked up a big wheel 140cc pit pro, well at least that's what the guy has told me it is. He got it for his misses who never used it. He used it a hand full of times the rest of the time it was in his garage for years. The rear shock is cactus, no repound at all very slow response after compression. I have taken the old shock out and it's 170mm from eye to eye. I have tracked down a guy selling a DNM brand new but it's 180mm. I have noticed on here most other big wheel set ups have a lot bigger rear shock then 170mm. Will the extra 10mm be a big issue or not really. I will try and upload pics as soon as I work how how hahaha

No mate it wont be an issue at all. The longer shock will give the bike a slightly taller stance, shortening the wheels base slightly. Whilst you will have better travel, the ergonomics of your bike will change. But to be honest with you unless your a hardcore racer, you probably wont notice any difference other than the height.

Impo D&M remote res shocks are great! Especially for the heavier rider.

Hope this helps mate!

hey Cordogs, yeah it helps a lot. this is the shock i am picking up. they got got it a few months ago, brand new, but sold his bikes before he could get around to putting it on. getting it for $80.

also does anyone know much about why my bike would be pulling away in 1st & 2nd gear with no throttle when the clutch is out? i can ride around faster then walking pace. i have pulled the carb apart and cleaned it out. i have noticed while running it some, not much, but some fuel leaks out the over flow hose. could the float be getting stuck and the bowl filling up to much?

This is the carby i have on it at the moment. it also likes to pop and back fire a little at times. any advice on that too. i feel like if i take the fuel mixture screw either way it doesn't like it. any advice would be great.

my other idea is maybe an air leak somewhere causing it to suck air in that i can't regulate because it is also raving pretty high but it feels like if i drop the idle screw it will conk out.
