Hello all. A few weeks ago I got a call telling me to come down and collect my prize.

I'm taking this as a sign to start riding 50's again.
I had a pretty sweet stocker a while ago but had to sell it to fund my 4wd's, I've quickly realised i dont have the time or $$$ to build another good crf. my idea is to transfer The crf50 engine to a roller as i want something taller as the missus loves riding it plus it will have to support my 6"2' 100+kg ass.

I want to keep a A-swinga, ideally I wanted use a Thumpstar hunge frame like this http://www.miniriders.com/china-builds/34709-hunge-25-thumpstar-build.html....

However the one I had lined up turned out to be owned by a keyboard warrior. my other option is a motovert...

I want to keep the build a 10/10 and eventually put a 88 kit with all the fruit through it. I'm fairly confident everything will line up, just looking for your opinions. the Motovert will be plenty strong for now however the thumpstar is blingtastic.
Anyone want to give me a better option? are there better frames to use? Am I making a mistake?

You lucky bugger, well done mate but if I was you I'd be pimping the 50 out, strengthen the frame, better forks maybe, 88 kit, usual suspects lol. Or sell it and pimp out a thumpstar, to me you either go one way or the other, would be a shame to strip a crf50 down to build a thumpster or vert.

Id love to spend the money on the Honda frame but I've got two black holes in my garage turning money into noise. $200 for a roller v.s. $1000+ on crf frame suspension, ill keep the crf roller for a later project though. I'm also looking for roller as another bloke backed out of a sale.
Here's my old stocker

shouldn't of sold it but life gets in the way

ok found this braap 88: sm pro rims, forks look upgraded. he wants a straight swap for my crf50 roller. is this a fair trade in your opinion?

Tristan's bike, yeah it would be a close swap. Still reckon you'd want an 88 to pull it along. I've got a Jailing 88 here if you end up wanting it or needing it.
