I think this is an XR 70 with a 125 motor- if that makes sense. I have replaced the stock honda motor (blown up and gone to the graveyard in the sky) with a lifan 125 of similar style- I notice clutch is in a different place, no way to hook up oil cooling, and it has "big" spline for front sprocket.

Bike pic below, motor out:

I am on a learning curve with these bikes, I used to have a custom bike shop "on the mainland" and since moving to Hawaii, I am getting massive work on these pit bikes and Chinese scooters and such. No other game in town, so I am the guy, and just having to apply my bike knowledge to a new genre' of bike.

It is so expensive to ship stuff here, I have to make do with what we have or can order off e-bay.

nope that is 100% China bike, no honda on it what so ever.

any lifan / ducar motor should be easy to bolt in

I'm guessing the clutch on the lifan 125 is on the crank, not on the transmission so its in a different place. Probably can only be started in neutral. Just a guess without seeing a pic.

does the ignition cover say honda on it? a common switch for people to do...

Yes- which is easy enough- but it also says Honda on the clutch cover. Says CDI on the head of the engine as well? I am not sure if that means anything other than electronic ignition LOL

definitely not a honda motor, give us a close up of the clutch cover pls.. and also whats the engine number? not that it matters but sometime its good to know..
but im guessing an old 138 engine..

it looks like a pitboss but basically could be any brand as lots of manufacturers sell the same bike but with different oem logos..

also if you havent worked it out yet, you'll need a different clutch cable. and to hook the oil cooler back up you need one of these Oil Cooler Plate and possibly new oil cooler lines..

Where to get and what cable would I need? Not too worried about hooking up oil cooling unless you think I absolutely need it for the new motor?

yeah thats the clutch cable you need...

and yeah i got an old 138 engine in the shed too... 127cc is the actual size, they were a pretty bullet proof engine until you started cranking some serious power out of them..

the frame you have there is what they call a SDG frame, and actually the more i look at that engine case and basic appearance of the bike the more it looks like an actual SDG bike. try this on for size.. SDG USA notice the latest model uses a 3 valve 125 engine
