Im new, HELP PLEASE

yeah the bike is in my hands has you all know.
i have been having the best time. its grouse.
BUT got one problem. my 110cc engine is starting to blow some smoke. And im guessing that the rings are about to go. So im thinking about getting a 140cc oil cooled engine and chuck that in instead. but im not to sure if the engine will fit into my bike. i will have to weld some mounts for the oil cooler but other then that im not to sure if the actual engine will fit in the bike.

mate you got yourself a sweet 50 and for what you paid for it and the condition its in, its a steal. i dont know what people are on about when they call the desert 50s POS. these bikes have been around since the start of the 50s scene and still a very nice bike. pitty they are starting to die out though. i would have bought it for 300 any day. anyways good work you have bought yourself a tough little bike

oh and the 140 should bolt in as there is a fair amount of clearance between the head and your front wheel as is. and all the engine mounts should be sweet too as all the engines are copys of honda 50s

To get the 140 to fit you'd have to take off the front guard, get a new carby and find somewhere to put the oil cooler.

Thanks a lot guys. i am very keen on the engine. BUT how much would it actually cost to get rings for my bike??????

Today went for a ride and the bike was making a noise like something was rattling it only makes the noise when i rev the bike a little. and i put my hand on everything and rev the bike to see if anything was loose. i checked and there was nothing. my mate thinks that the piston is hitting inside the engine?????
if it will be cheap to do the rings i might do that instead. mate told me under $100

man mines been blowing smoke for ages and its a hell of a job to put new rings n shit in...so i guess just ride it until it stops...then get a new engine or rebuild your old one. if the smoke is blue it means that its just burning oil and your rings are either gone or your valve guides are out or something. its not a big deal just watch your oil level and make sure you dont blind the people behind you.
