Hi guys,

I'm looking for a bike for my kids (11 & 13) to ride around up at our bush block. I've found a used 'Pit Pro 125cc' advertised on eBay (link below). I'm not sure if it's a Pit Pro with a Monster sticker kit on it, or maybe its not a Pit Pro at all. Can anyone help me identify it please?

PIT PRO 125cc Motorbike 4 Stroke | eBay

Thanks,

My mate has a pit pro for his son that has the same frame as that so it probably is. That being said, ALOT of other suppliers sold the exact same bike too. Seems pretty exxy for a 2nd hand 125cc bike, and to be honest Pit Pro's aren't any better(or worse) than most of the bikes out there. To put it in perspective my mate bought the same bike almost 5 years ago for $400 second-hand.

Like Motodevo said if it isnt, it's probably got the same parts on it anyways!

That being said, its pretty bloody clean and honest looking. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better bike for a cheaper price, especially since he's negotiable. He mentioned he had some gear for sale for an 11/12 y/o too. I reckon if you could get it for $500 with a helmet each for your kids, you'd be doing pretty well?? Just my 2 cents anyway!:grinning-smiley-003

Thanks guys,

I'm interested in both of your 'probably same bike / same parts' comments. After much reading on this forum and looking at the bikes / talking to the guys in Motorbike City (Ferntree Gully - Melbourne); I was under the impression that the Pit Pro was a better bike than many out there including all the no name ones. I thought it sort of sat somewhere above Atomik but below DHZ and Pitster Pro in both build quality and quality of included parts; hence I've been looking mainly for Pit Pro, Pitster Pro and DHZ on the used market. Am I way off here?

Agreed Cordogs - I thought it looked pretty damn clean, so thought if I could get in with helmets etc including for 2/3 of the new price it wouldn't be a bad deal.

Cheers,

I have a good mate that I used to ride with that had a pitpro 140 and the thing was incredible, mind you the bloke was the size of a jockey! Lol he's actually a long serving member here (needapitty) but a little inactive of late.

He used to race that thing every month in a motocross track and ride it every other weekend out the bush and it rarely let him done. He rode that thing as hard as anyone could and it handled it beautifully. That being said it was a 140 and not a 125 so I can't comment on the reliability.

Josh (Needapitty) is also very mechanicly minded so his maintenance was always on point which is crucial for a Chinese bike what ever the make.
