hi
does anyone know if i can put kx 85 forks on my klx125

thanks

doubt it. they'd be too small.
kx85 forks normally are put on klx110s....
im dont know much about klx125's but i thinkk there vertical engines and much bigger than klx110's?
most people dont call any vertical engines minis... but... yeah **** im tired...
/ends ramble

Your probly right bradisfun. But I am not sure cos I was looking on another forum and they said in an old thread tht the 85 forks do fit on the klx but idk

ahh sorry i was major tired.
85 forks are 745mm i think. iv heard of people having cr85 (showa) forks completely redone for klx110s and all but dont know much about 125's.... maybe do some research on the lengths.
but it would be almost impossible to find a triple clamp so you'd most likely need to get one made.

klx 125 will take the kx85 forks but you have too change the tripleclamps and everything and if i remember rightly we had too change the neck bearings and it was a bugger to find them,
wogtaz i have never seen a fork cut down but that would a sweet piece of work if someone could achieve it

Thanks clunky64. Do You mind maybey telling me everything tht u had to change tht would b great. Thanks :)

oh mate
we are going back to about 2002 when we were playing with these, doesnt seem long ago but im 47 and fading fast,i think we had to as i said replace the whole front end and i think we had to use a smaller outer diameter stem bearing, also im pretty sure we had to cutdown the stem and retcut the thread on the top of the stem,we also put a longer swingarm on the rear with a kx85 rear shock and what we had was a fairly good handling bike with no grunt
lastly why do you want to do this because what i would do now instead of this is buy a crf150r which brings me to another frankenstein i built was a 1986 cr80 with an xl100 four stroke in it back in about 1992

oh rito man thanks i just wanted to make the bike good so i can ride it until i have enough money for a new bike haha thanks for all the info.

thts a good point nicko 451 i dont know what i will do but i will do something
