Hello guys so I have a razor mx500 . brand new batteries installed on it , and want to add a few led strips . I once found an 12v led strip on ebay for $3, that i installed into an xbox and it literally lit up a room so brightly. want to do the same on the bike , but my knowledge of electricity is very faint to none .
I seen some projects on how people used batteries & housings from batteries powered tools ( drills saws etc ) .
I thought the idea was great being there not so heavy and compact and pack 18v in most cases (i believe that's adequate enough for a few strips correct?)
from here i am lost . how may i break down the voltage in strips and connect them to this battery .
i would imagine all spliced ends would be joined before the leads to the battery housings ? do i have to get multiple strips with less voltage that would add up to 18v? or may i add a few 18v strips ? How do i utilize the battery power so i am not charging the battery so much ?
ALL HELP AND OPINIONS ARE APPRECIATED .
