Lifan stator

Bought an aftermarket stator/flywheel and all on eBay (link below). Swapped it into my lifan 110cc no problem, accept for the wiring... Has anyone done such a swap? Do I need to buy a new harness all together? Does anyone have a diagram for this stator, or know what colors match up? I've always had luck on this sight getting help, hope someone out there is a lot smarter than me and can help, I'll owe you big time! Aloha. Tony.

yeah, you will need to buy a harness and CDI to suit it.

the outer rotor kits will liven up your motor, and the adjustable timing is great.
they also give you a longer kickstart lever, and shaft life.

WOW! Exactly the info I was looking for thanks a bunch. So with the new CDI and harness I can basically plug and play into my lifan 110cc with that stator I bought? Also the wiring diagram shows a battery hook up and what not, I am not running a battery, will the harness and CDI you recommended work with no battery? Thanks again for all the help, greatly appreciated...

yeah, they will work fine without a battery,
you just need to tape up the yellow wires' plug back to the loom, it doesn't get used with no battery fitted.

A timing light and a car battery? Maybe this is a little over my head, guess it would have been too easy just to hook everything up and have it work.. What is the process of the timing light and car battery? Sorry to ask so many questions, wiring is a nightmare...

it's just to set the timing,
most timing lights require 12v to power them, so run the 2 power leads from the timing light to a car battery.
then fit the spark plug pickup lead from the timing light, to the spark plug lead on the bike.



i measured up around the o/d of the new Outer Rotor Flywheel and got 255mm
then divided it by 360 (the degrees in a circle) and got .71mm,

the flywheel has a stamped marking T and a line stamped into it, this is TDC.
so to set the motor to run at 10 degrees before TDC,
the mark on the flwheel (T) needs to be 7.1mm before the timing mark at 12 o'clock on the engine casing


so if you mark the flywheel 7.1mm away from the T/line, and start the bike,
you can loosen the 2 or 3 bolts that hold the stator to the backing plate, and then adjust the timing to make the bike run nice.
lock up the bolts again and take it for a test ride,
you may want to advance it a bit more to suit where you ride, but listen out for pinging/detonation.


my Atomik Fuse 150cc, runs pretty sweet at all RPMs with it set at 10 degrees before TDC.
