Most headlight sets of XR dirt bikes will fit, you will just have to cut the light shroud down, they attach to the forks with a strap on each side.

As for indicators etc no idea. Try looking at www.monkeybike.co.uk

anyone can make an educated guess of what would be the overall cost of recreational reg on say, a pitpro ? (after parts, fees etc)

well these guys with there z50's say they are $100 to register! u need a compliance plate etc, i dont think it is possible to register china bikes without these! i dont think they are up to the standards either (unless ur states laws are different to N.S.W)

nup dont need no stinking compliance plate, just need a frame number and engine number. dont have to meet any standards in victoria either, you can rec register a full motocross bike if you want to (yz's, cr's, kx etc etc). check out your local bike shop for a battery powered headlight and tail light. get a mirror on the right hand side and a honk honk horn and your pretty much set. then rip it all off once its rego'd and go riding, the cops only really care about the headlight and tail light.

look here for more info: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Motorcycles/Registration/RecreationalMotorcycleRegistration.htm

yeah I was thinking wreckers too, anyone know a good wrecker for dirt-bikes in vic?

Hey,

Not my idea of cheap! I think I'll just go to a wreckers and pick a part :) Thanks for the ideas though.

my brother (dabomb) had 2 car spotlights running on his 110cc, 1st what engine .. attomik .. ducar ? if it is electric start you may be inluck, becuase the stator has an out put to charge the battery of the electric start. so you can either
run a light comming off the battery if you have one, or get a new stator that has an extra winding for your kinda thing.

Hey,

I've got an atomik with a 125cc ducar. I have also got an electric start (not in use - I pulled out the inside coil part of it to save weight). My thoughts were to plug the electric start cable into the headlight? I could then just replace the electric start spring switch with a slider type and it would be a headlight switch. Does this sound workable?

I currently don't the battery on the bike but would need to put it on.
