i have always just drilled the hole without supporting the rim,
use a sharp 1/8th drill bit, slower drill speed minimal pressure, and the bit will do all the work.
then go up to an 8.5mm bit and do the same.
and finish it off with a fine file to deburr it, and a dab of clear to seal the anodising

should i get some news paper spray a bit of clear out onto it then get a tiny brush then seal up the anodising?

I used my POS battery drill on X marks the spot, looks good to me... only the smallest drill bit for the pilot hole.... on the weekend i should be able to get the tires mounted!!!
 
well, called up the buzz boys, they had the goods but just not in my price range, but hey no harm in asking....
you could say a set of spoke rims turned up in the mail today.....

can anyone spot something in the background in the first pic?
any suggestions for glue to fix a crack in some plastics?
and i need a wiring harness with a cdi would be good.... cant seem to find any reasonable ones.... any links?

Does the Daytona 150/190 CDI/loom work on YX/HO's? That way you could have adjustable rev limiter, etc.
 
I got some spare cdi's if you need bud. Really coming along now. :)
