hey fellas, im up for a new bike for my 7 year old as the knock off ktm 50 just isnt cutting it for him anymore. the boy can ride better than me lol. im thinking of the pitster 110 that dhz sell or a second hand braaap 88. he is a short little fella tho so i am concerned on height with the 110. does anyone know the seat height on them or own one and can give me any advice/review :)

nah sorry,
i've only played with my sons' Buggy 110 full auto engine
and did a little riding on my Orion with a 3 valve 110 manual, until 3rd gear went bang

what are the three valve engines like compared to a 125?? i know if i buy a 50 four stroke it will be a matter of weeks before he is begging me for a new engine as he can ride his brothers withe the gpx 125, he is just a little wary of the throttle on that. probably doesnt help that he cant ouch the ground on it either lol

i would say somewhere between a 125cc and a 140cc.
but there aren't really any performance parts for them, just carby and exhaust, an adjustable Outer Rotor
and a bit of porting

id go for a atomik motox 125cc.. or somthing like that.. nice easy to use power and cheap as chips..
or a local 125cc pitbike..
i wouldnt go 110 cc time to introduce the manual clutch and what has been known to be a indestructable engine (well i have seen them put through hell) lifan 125
maybe a bike with a 140cc lifan but that will almost outdo the gpx 125..
its that or a ducar 70 they were alot of fun and what i learned on for a year or so untill i got bored with the power..
not sure how big, what he does on the bike but a decent jump is the best$$ way to do it maybe even to a 80cc 2t if he is confident enough.. if you think he can do it and he is comfortable and confident theres almost nothing that he cant ride..
the best bike he can get is one he can ride all the time so maybe noise is to be considered..
you dont have to be able to touch the ground to ride a bike.. also did that for a while it made it a bit difficult when i wanted to stop but not much of a hurdle to pass

what im thinking is the pitster pro 110, through the lifan 125 in it 6 months down the track and from there, when i rebuild the gpx125 i can put that into it. ive decided to give the 160 donk to the eldest as my project is on hold for a while.

Buy a KTM 50sx Senior or a KTM 65sx and watch him rip. Opens up racing if he is interested later

he is currently on a knock off ktm senior copy and he certaintly is ripping it up on it but he wants more so the next step is gears obviously. he used to ride the 90cc semi auto clunker we had but it never had enough go for him. i think the 65 may be to big of a step up i reckon he will get something like that in a couple more years :)
