Machining the oil slinger

G;day all mini riders, I have read every thing I can find here on inner rotors and I appreciate the info you have provided.
As for machining the oil slinger, could you explain this process please. Can it be done with a hand file. Does a pro need to do it. Does the inner rotor actually reduce the torque of the engine? eg To climb hills will you need higher revs in lower gears?

it is a must for bikes with inner rotor kits, it will have to be turned down in a lathe. I should be machined down to the 4 bolt holes which the cover attaches to( just leave enough around holes about 2mm so the cover can still be bolted back on) and i take a bit from behind on shaft were it is at its thickest( on the coller), i would advise you to take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Thanks for the info roost. How do you machine the crank still in the motor? How much do you charge for such a job? I am a long way from you though in Jindabyne. Probably not worth the friet. Looks like I'll win one on ebay though, so I have to work something out. Anybody know someone who can do such a job in my area? All the best, ride on.
