welcome to Miniriders,

post up some pics if you can.

some spark plug leads are better than others,
i use one of these, they are definately better
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PIT-BIKE...H_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item4857cb436b&_uhb=1
and get yourself a new NGK C7HSA spark plug too, or if you can afford it a NGK Irridium CR7HIX

little things can help your bike too, like grinding back/deburring the welds inside the exhaust pipe, where it bolts to the head.
adding an adjustable rotor ignition kit
and fitting a uni filter to the carby too.

cheers, craig

cheers heaps I will be lookin into all of those things should I run a 26mm carby instead of 28mm ???

a 26mm will give you good throttle response, when compared to a 28mm

an OKO 26mm semi flat slide is a good improvement too, but they are a bit of an on/off type throttle.
more suited to MX tracks etc,
but in saying that, i have the same OKO 26mm on Lifan 150, and you soon get used to riding with them

DHZ a sponsor here, sells them in a complete kit ready to fit, with a manifold adapter, Uni Filter, throttle cable, and throttle
standard throttle, and filter- http://www.dhz.com.au/buy/oko-26mm-flateslide-race-carby-kit/CARB-05-26-KIT
and Uni Filter and 1/4 (quick turn) throttle- http://www.dhz.com.au/buy/oko-26mm-...nifilter-140cc-150cc-160cc/CARB-05-26-UNI-KIT

i would do the carb, air filter (uni filter), and plug, lead and oil. thats a good starting point. later on u might wanna port match ur manifold to ur head for better flow. but make sure wen ur changing your oil take the right hand case of and clean the mesh filter inside. during the running in period alot of metal filings (this is normal) will build up there. and make sure to get semi synthetic oils, ur gearbox will thank u for in the long run :)

i wouldnt go semi synthetic oil, just standard mineral oil will be fine,
especially if you are changing it a few times while running it in

Thanks heaps guy all very use full information as an amateur really helping me out cheers can't wait to start fiddling around and getting the best combo for my riding style

Also running a little leaner will improve throttle and power as having a better combustion but that's if you wanna tune your carb to the absolute best it can be, and what do you ride as in terrain do you want more bottom or top, maybe a sprocket change!

i would adjust your valves too, these are normally set too tight at the factory that assembled the engine
when the engine gets warm things inside expand, and the valves will stay open.
you end up losing a bit of compression, the engine wont run to well.
that's if you are any good with tools.

this is a video guide, from OO Racing UK , a how to.
when you set them use .003" (.1mm) for the inlet (top of motor), and .004"(.075mm) for the exhaust (underside of the head)
