Mornin peoples, got a track day coming up and I am now thinking i might as well take the mini as a secondary as it never hurts to have another bike :) Just wondering what sort of wheels and tryes I would need to Motard a standard nitrous? Also if anyone is selling any that would do the job, pls let me know.

Where are you located Timeeh? I have a set of these you can have for $120 if you're in Melbourne and can pick up, with minimal wear on the slicks... Otherwise I'll hang on to them because I'm too lazy to post things :p

^^^ Sick :) reckon they'l fit straight on? What r you taking them off? I'm located in CBR but i can organise freight from my end if you can pack em in a box for me... Let me know, thanx mate

CBR = Canberra?

They fit straight on my Nitrous... You'll just need to transfer the discs and sprocket across ;)

Boxing is no worries!

PM me if you're keen and we'll sort it out...

Good score Timeeh. The only issue i had was spacing. Can be fixed with a few washers :)

next question.... Any ideas on what i should be doing sproket wise? Currently thinking i might add 2 on the front sproket, maybe drop 2 on the rear as well. Anybody done this, if so how bad was the torque loss and could you still hit full revs in 4th?

Also anybody got any idea what size chain the nitous 160 has standard? website states 420, but i'm pretty sure it's bigger, definately looks bigger thand the wifes 125 nitrous...

Hey dude. Just check if your chain runs smooth on the missus sprocket, good chance it will. If it works just get te same, I am fairly sure though that it uses the #420. Thd majority of 160's use em from factory.

My Nitrous is running a #425... It'll be stamped in the side of your chain ;)

Dropping a couple of teeth off the rear sprocket is a good starting point for gearing...

^^^ hmm really 425? Are you running an aftermarket chain and sprocket setup?

yer only chains I could find on ebay for #425 was like some random Suzuki from the 1980's?

#420 and #428 are the common (if only) pit bike chain styles

Cheers fellas, i'll have a look tonight. But judging them by eyesight mine definately looks larger, at least by width. can't wait till 11th may to take it round wakefield. Gonna be piss funny with all the big bikes :)

^^ could just be a heavy duty chain mate, I upgraded to HD RK chain and metal thickness was about double, pitch and link spacing is the same though.
